Get to Know Chef Miguel PonceChef Miguel X Ponce was proudly born in Guayaquil, Ecuador; He began his culinary training in Buenos Aires but has been developing his skills in different continents.
He obtained two Gold Medals and two Silver medals in four participations in Culinary Competitions. He has worked in several Hotels and Restaurants; including "Christophe" in Buenos Aires, "Martín Berasategui" in the Basque Country and "El Celler de Can Roca" in Catalonia, these two last-mentioned restaurants were awarded with three stars in the Michelin guide.
He worked for more than seven years as Professor and Academic Coordinator at the School of Gastronomic Sciences of the “Unidad de Especialidades Espiritu Santo” (UEES) in Guayaquil.
He was the founder of NidoGYE Collective, through which he lead the organization of more than 20 itinerant at-the-forefront-of-creativity gastronomic sessions in various locations whitin the country.
