Our hotel has won international recognition and accolades and has been named winner in the World Travel Awards’ category “Ecuador’s Leading Hotel” in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008; winner in the World Travel Awards’ category “Leading Business Hotel - South America” in 2006; and winner in the World Travel Awards’ category “Leading Business Hotel In Ecuador” in 2007 and 2008.

Winners are judged by an international panel on the quality of the customer experience they offer as perceived by their customers. Smart Voyager

Smart Voyager is a sustainable tourism certification program, which awards its seal of approval to hotels and tourism operations throughout South America who meet a set of strict conservation standards for protecting the environment, wildlife, and the well-being of workers and local communities. Smart Voyager standards aim to minimize the environmental impacts of tourism and were designed in collaboration with scientists, conservation experts, and tour operators and cover a host of environmental and social concerns.

ISO 14001

2004 Environmental Management System:  This certification describes a set of standards for environmental management within the hotel. The aim of the standard is to reduce the environmental footprint of a business and to decrease the pollution and waste a business produces. The most recent version of ISO 14001 was released in 2004 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) which has representation from committees all over the world.

ISO 9001

2000 Quality Management:  This certification provides a number of requirements which an organization needs to fulfill to achieve customer satisfaction through consistent products and services which meet customer expectations. It includes a requirement for continued improvement of the Quality Management System.

OHSAS 18001

1999 Safety Management System and Occupational Health:  Our conformance to OHSAS 18001 safeguards that employees, guests, and all other parties in question are exposed to as few risks as possible, while third-party certification authenticates that we have taken steps to avoid accidents and hazardous situations using a comprehensive and effectively implemented system. This certification demonstrates our commitment to occupational health and safety for our employees and our guests alike.
